British food fortnight runs from 21st September until 6th October providing an opportunity for the food and drink industry to promote the benefits of purchasing and eating home-grown and produced food. As a consumer, keep an eye out for offers, restaurant deals and other events taking place in London and the South East throughout the year from country fairs through to farmers markets

Here are some top tips for choosing local:

  • Environmentally conscious: Food has to travel less which means a reduced carbon footprint compared with most imported foods.
